What are your cancellation policies (if I get injured for instance and am unable to travel)?

Go2Africa has the following cancellation terms and conditions (but note that these exclude air travel which has to be paid in full upfront to secure your seats):

• You are liable for 100% cancellation fee where cancellation is made less than four weeks prior to departure.

• You are liable for a 55% cancellation fee where cancellation is made four to eight weeks prior to departure.

• You are liable for a 30% cancellation fee (this is your booking confirmation deposit) where cancellation is made more than eight weeks prior to departure.

• Any air ticket cancelled after confirmation will be subject to the applicable terms and conditions levied by the airline and based on the fare type chosen.

• Please note that if you rent a villa in Cape Town through us, some of the villas request a deposit greater than 30% and therefore the above cancellation fees will vary slightly according to the villa in question.

We strongly recommend that cancellation insurance be purchased at the time of reservation as protection in the unlikely event that your vacation needs to be cancelled.

Is travel insurance mandatory when booking a trip with you?

While it is not compulsory to have travel insurance we highly recommend it. A hundred and one unpredictable things can go wrong while - and even before - you go on vacation.

If unforeseen circumstances should force you to cancel or reschedule your trip, reroute your travel services, return home early, or even seek emergency medical treatment, travel insurance can cover the costs of these unpredictable events.

Insurance can only be purchased prior to departure and should be purchased within 14 days of confirmation of your travel reservation. Go2Africa urges you to fully assess your needs and purchase adequate and necessary travel insurance - click here to see a selection of travel insurance options.

Please note that Go2Africa cannot be held responsible for any consequences of having inadequate or no travel insurance.

What would happen if I was involved in an accident when on vacation?

In the event of an accident while you are travelling with one of our operators, it is obviously incumbent on them to manage the situation. We would also be involved, assisting where necessary and making any arrangements that fell outside the ambit of the operator.

If you are on a self-drive vacation, we have a 24/7 emergency number you can reach us on. We will act immediately, facilitating any procedures and liaising with the appropriate authorities.

It is of course vital that you purchase adequate insurance for your vacation.
