Born, raised, and educated in Cape Town (with a five-year stint in London in her teens), Catherine joined Go2Africa in July 2006 as part of a highly trained group of specialist vacation consultants.
Catherine is a big nature fan, and loves to explore Cape Town's natural environment, particularly its forests and wilderness areas. Her favourite destinations, both for herself and for her clients, are the world-famous Kruger National Park and the idyllic Mozambique islands.
A Safari is an essential part of an African holiday, and Catherine is a big fan of the luxury safari lodges as she explains the unique allure of "being in the wild and having candle-lit bubble baths, great food, great conversation and the chance for a bit of solitude.” "I love the sounds of the wild when you're falling asleep - you can't find that anywhere else” she adds.

I can tell you right now that working with Catherine and the Go2Africa staff has just been one of the most ENJOYABLE and REWARDING experiences of my life. From the beginning, Catherine was in constant contact with me, tailoring the perfect itinerary based on MY interests and MY expectations that I had crafted over the past 10 years. This wasn't some cookie-cutter standard itinerary; Catherine worked diligently to ensure I got the MAXIMUM South African experience.Based on our conversations, Catherine suggested the Simbavati River Lodge near the Kruger reserve. This was the perfect safari lodge for the first time visitor; we saw 4 of the "Big 5” on the very first drive! Each drive was a unique experience, whether it was watching a leopard stalk its prey, a hyena devouring a kill, or the ultra elusive sightings of white lion and wild dog! Simbavati is just an amazing experience!I could go on and on about my amazing trip that Catherine and Go2Africa compiled for me, but I think what really made it special were the little personal touches. Catherine really went the extra mile for me on this trip, whether it was arranging for the staff members to sing me a very special "Happy Birthday” or arranging reservations for Christmas dinner in the very upscale Camps Bay neighborhood in Cape Town. She even helped me find last-minute New Year's hotel reservations in Cape Town, that is INCREDIBLE. James Curtis
