For someone who admires Pride and Prejudice's Elizabeth Bennett for her free thinking and progressive attitude, it may come as a surprise to discover that Kate hates odd numbers and non-crispy roast potatoes. A waterbaby from KwaZulu Natal, she drew on an HR degree to work in the British and South African hospitality industry before moving into travel.

A beach picnic or lunch at a pavement café is how Kate relaxes but if anyone is planning a Mediterranean island cruise, give her a call. She is currently trying to persuade Go2Africa to include Madagascar on their portfolio because, er, she really wants to go there.' Live life with an open mind and don't be afraid to try something new' she advises.
