Mark Preyer - Chief Executive Officer

Mark Preyer is the founder and inspiration behind Go2Africa. He has a huge passion for the internet and its power, and has combined this with his love for Africa, travel and, most importantly, inspiring others to travel to Africa!

Mark has degrees in philosophy and economics as well as computer science and worked in IT and management consulting in Johannesburg, Cape Town and the United Kingdom.

In 1989 he completed his MBA at Cranfield in the UK and a year later started a venture. Under his management it became one of the most successful inbound tour operators in South Africa and is today a leader in tourism and safari travel throughout the African continent.

During this time his belief that communicating with travellers directly would enhance their travel experience became a certainty and an online travel guide was established. Go2Africa was born!

Realising that the product he had created needed focus, Mark established Go2Africa.com as an independent business in 2001. With his progressive and creative vision Go2Africa has become the leader in its field.
