Located in the untouched Congreve Conservancy on the outskirts of Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya, Mbweha Safari Camp is a delightfully authentic and intimate lodge offering a range of activities for all ages. Game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park offer excellent big-game viewing, with healthy populations of leopard, lion, buffalo and a welter of antelope, while the lake is famed for its variety of bird species, including huge flocks of flamingos that turn the shoreline pink with their plumage. The Congreve Conservancy, being outside the park, allows you the freedom to enjoy night drives, guided safari walks, mountain biking and horse riding. Ideal as a springboard to explore Lake Nakuru or as a stopover on an extended Kenyan safari, Mbweha Safari Camp has a relaxed, rustic charm coupled with excellent service and cuisine.
The expansive main building of Mbweha Safari Camp is constructed from thatch, wood and local stone and is tastefully decorated with contemporary African art and artefacts. The lounge boasts deep comfortable sofas in several seating areas around a roaring open fireplace, with a beautifully designed bar alongside, and the adjoining open-sided dining room is simply yet elegantly appointed. A large sparkling swimming pool is set in a secluded part of the manicured garden surrounding the main building.
