Motswiri Camp lies on the banks of the Selinda Spillway, an ephemeral waterway that connects the Okavango Delta to the wetlands of the Kwando and Linyanti Rivers. A little-visited and somewhat mysterious region of woodland and open grasslands, it remains a great game viewing destinations in Botswana thanks to year-round water and hundreds of square miles of unspoilt wilderness teeming with wildlife.
Motswiri Camp is a small, environmentally-sustainable camp with five tented suites overlooking water. Largely solar-powered and staffed by guides and managers with many shared years of safari experience, the camp is an ideal destination for discerning travellers looking for a more exclusive Okavango Delta-style experience with a twist: located with access to a huge private concession, this is a camp that specialises in riding and walking safaris as well as canoe adventures. Game drives and motorised fishing excursions are also offered.
A fly-in destination, Motswiri Camp combines well with other similar camps in the Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve. The camp welcomes children and has a tent suitable for a family; children 12 and over are permitted to go on horseback and walking safaris.
Motswiri Camp is a relatively simple accommodation and it has everything you need for safari comfort. The main lodge has a lounge complete with a large leather sofa and comfortable armchairs as well as a welcoming bar and dining area. Outside you will find an outdoor lounge, viewing deck and dining area overlooking the Selinda Spillway as well as a swimming pool and shaded pool deck. Guests at Motswiri Camp enjoy a complimentary laundry service.
The camp runs largely on solar power and there are no plug points in the rooms. Batteries and devices can be charged at main camp where there is a convenient range of plug adaptors.
