overview

Situated near the southernmost tip of Africa, The Arniston Hotel is surrounded by the rolling hills of the rural Overberg region and has exquisite beaches and nature reserves located nearby. It's a tranquil, unhurried part of the Cape; the expansive views add to the casual, beach house design, and the friendly staff will encourage you to kick back and relax as you enjoy your stay.

There is also plenty to do at The Arniston: hire a bicycle from the hotel and cycle around this delightfully scenic area, or you could hike along coastal dunes before booking a treatment at the Ginkgo Spa. Day trips can easily be organised to the region's stunning parks and reserves: De Mond Nature Reserve is a pristine river mouth lagoon less than 20 minutes away; De Hoop Nature Reserve has superb fynbos, great birds and several species of large mammal to look for; and Cape Agulhas National Park is where you can visit the southernmost tip of Africa.

Dining

The Arniston Hotel's signature dining experience is its selection of fresh, local seafood. The morning's catch, along with fresh shellfish, is at the heart of a menu that blends traditional Cape Malay inspired dishes with modern innovations. The restaurant also has an award-winning wine list, and kid's menus are also available. The hotel can arrange private dinner parties (for a minimum of 10 people) in the hotel's wine cellar - a wonderful gourmet experience surrounded by candles and wine - and can also serve your meal in the privacy of your own room.

Pool Facing Room

The Arniston Hotel has four types of rooms to choose from: each is elegantly decorated and features all the comforts of a luxury hotel.
