overview

Mara Intrepids Club recreates the romance and charm of the old safari experience. The camp is located in a peaceful setting, shaded by large trees and spread out along the riverbanks. Early in the morning, before morning game drives, you wake to tea and coffee served in your tent. During the day you can venture out on game drives or relax on a sun-bed around the swimming pool.

The safari experience at Mara Intrepids Club is a unique game-viewing adventure. It includes 3 daily game drives with experienced guides and educational outings with the Adventurers' Club accompanied by the camp's resident naturalist. Cultural trips to neighbouring Maasai villages - where Mara supports several community development projects - can also be arranged for you.

Traveller Reviews

  • The Mara Intrepids was a great camp and our driver, who led us to see the Big 5 during our brief 48-hour stay. He was cautious to set that expectation, but we were amazingly blessed to see not only the Big 5 but such a diversity of other game. Additionally, the landscape was amazing and uniquely beautiful as well.

    Mike McBride, September 2011
  • The Mara Intrepids had absolutely beautiful tents with four poster beds with pretty nets, double sinks - my favourite!! ;-)

    Katie Langley, June 2010
  • Our first 3 night at Mara Intrepids was a magical introduction to Africa. The staff were warm and more than accommodating, our tents were spacious and luxurious, and the food was delicious. The abundance of wildlife, literally at our front door was jaw-dropping. Our driver Michael was excellent at finding every imaginable animal and bird in the Massai Mara.

    Jennifer Compton, April 2010
  • It is definitely more "occidental"... but still allowed us to experience the mara in all of its splendor... though we were not able to see the big 5, we did see 4 of them, only the Rhino eluded us. Still, the trip was perfect.

    Anelena Carazo, November 2008
