Traveller Reviews

  • The first place, Jatinga Lodge, was beautiful and way more than I expected. A very welcome surprise after a long trip. The staff was excellent and this one guy Anthony even took me into town the first day to get a sim card for my phone because I forgot at the airport. Dinner was very good. Best of all the lodges.

  • Jatinga was nice too - the grounds were very pretty and our room was very comfortable. It was good for a one night stay near the airport.

    Meredith Sharoky, December 2013

  • The lodge and accomodations were very nice, great hospitality and food as well. Plus the entire area has a huge amount to offer tourists. The spectacular views, history and points of interest in this area were very impressive and you could easily spend 3 days just touring around. We wanted to see the caves and dinnasour park but ran out of time.

    Darren Holmes, May 2012
  • Yes, the trip will be a memorable one! All the plans you created went flawlessly and the accommodations and staff were wonderful.

    Barry Gershenson, September 2011
  • Jatinga was the perfect place to end the trip. The food was excellent and the grounds were beautiful. We slept in late and lounged around most of the time getting ready for the long flight home. The driver (Chris) who took us on the panarama route trip was great. Gods Window and the other stops where closed due to a strike by the security staff. Chris took us to other locations where we could see all of the sites. He also gave us a lot of info about the area and South Africa. The elephant encounter and ride were wonderful. A lot of info and an amazing ride. We were quite satisfied with the short ride - many of the other participants went on for a longer ride and dinner in the bush.

    JoAnne DuChez, August 2011
  • The Jatinga Country Lodge was a very pleasant surprise. I really we didn't lose a day and a half getting to Mauritius but if that was in fact unavoidable, Jatinga was a nice place to spend a night. The colonial country estate feel was very unique. While the property could use some updating we enjoyed our night there and they went out of there way to give us a nice honeymoon dinner in their "wine cellar".
