Victoria and Alfred Hotel (V&A). What a hotel! What a deal we got staying there two free nights! The location is PERFECT. You can walk anywhere in the wharf area. The restaurants, mall, shops, whatever – right there. We looked out at the huge ferris wheel and Table Mountain! The breakfast was included. We thought that might be just rolls, bagels, coffee, etc. It was a buffet piled almost to the ceiling. It represented foods for every possible culture/nationality you could think of. That would have been more than enough, but you also got to order a full breakfast from the menu – that was included too!! The inclusive breakfast also let you eat at the Queen Victoria across the street. We tried that one morning – but nothing holds a candle to the breakfast at V&A. We had our last dinner at the Oyo Restaurant at V&A (where breakfasts were). Fabulous. From Ukutula to Cape Town, we did some really good eating!
The hotel staff could not do enough for us. Very friendly. Very accommodating. One concierge gal even fixed my Blackberry when it wouldn’t work! Best mattress I’ve ever slept on while traveling too! Had to ask what kind. Sealy Posturpedic. I’m sure it’s a hotel grade. But it was wonderful.

The Victoria and Alfred was a great choice. I do not think a better location in Cape Town exists. It was convenient to walk to the mall, restaurants, Robben Island departure and the pier area.

Loved the Victoria and Alfred Hotel. The location on the Waterfront was prefect. We enjoyed the city tour and peninsular tours in Cape Town. We were disappointed that the day we went to Table Mountain it was foggy and we could not see but we went up anyways. The day before when we were originally scheduled to go to Table Mountain was a beautiful day but who knew.

The Victoria & Alfred Waterfront hotel was superb and your hire car booked through Buget was also very good.

I recommend the Victoria and Alfred Hotel. Centrally located, convenient to the Victoria Wharf shopping center and downtown area and good restaurants... They have an excellent concierge but their wifi was not 100% reliable. The restaurants and wine selections were excellent. My favorite was the Round House although it is impossible to find even with a GPS. There was lots to do and see and time ran out before we got everything on our list complete. Some learnings for other travelers.

Each hotel was magnificent, especially V&A Hotel in Cape Town. We had a room overlooking the Waterfront and the mountain and the view was magnificent. Best hotel we have ever been in.

We loved Cape Town and had the most fabulous view from our room in the V&A hotel. We just lay in bed looking at Table Mountain and the harbour watching the seals playing - it couldn't have been better and I think it is the best hotel room with a view I have ever stayed in!!! We went on lots of tours and we feft we did most things - Cape Town really is a lovely town and all the people we met were very friendly. Food was good , too!
