Breakfast is served in the sun room, where the enormous windows are flung open to welcome the giraffes as they poke in their long necks to see what's on our plate.

  • Giraffe Manor - In terms of the Giraffes, was out of this world, the service and staff were excellent and we were treated to luxury. To be absolutely honest, I was a little disappointed, I understand the price is based on the giraffe experience and while everything was awesome, I felt the room very pretty but was a little tired (tears in the mosquito nets and a leaking shower) also the food was excellent, but there was no choice, we didn't expect a menu so to speak, but just a choice of 2 mains maybe? Breakfast was excellent (I'd love their recipe for the granola as it was out of this world!!)

  • Giraffe Manor – WOW! What a magical place! Even though we only stayed there for a night, we had ample time to spend with the giraffes and feel like we had the full experience. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised we were upgraded to a suite (Karen Blixen) and not just a room. The suite was great and full of charm, and the entire property was beautiful. During the day, we were able to go to the Giraffe Centre which was nearby and did a guided nature walk. We petted the giraffes, fed them, kissed them, and took pictures with them. In the afternoon, we relaxed on the property and had the giraffes come to us and we were able to feed and take pictures with them again. The food was delicious, no complaints. We had dinner at the main dining room which was nice because we got to meet a lot of travelers from all over the world. The next morning was another treat. We had breakfast with the giraffes and being able to eat side by side with the giraffes was out of this world! The entire staff (especially Peter) was very welcoming, accommodating, and attentive to our needs. Again, it was a good decision for having us stay our first night in Ole Sereni so we were able to maximize our time in Giraffe Manor.

  • We arrived at Giraffe Manor, and were immediately greeted with hot towels, drinks, and anything else that we needed. Our laundry was immediately taken from us, we were shown the property and our room. Both the entire property and our room were amazing. It was so comfortable, and beautiful. Our room was in the original main house, and had a view of the entire reserve, as well as a huge balcony, where you could see and feed the Giraffes from. You could also feed the Giraffes directly out of our bedroom windows (as we later found out). We were escorted to the Giraffe Center, and there we were educated about the Giraffes, which was a nice start to our stay. We then went back to Giraffe Manor, where we were greeted with drinks, and our first encounter with the Giraffes. The staff was amazing, and helped us feed the Giraffes right out of our hands. We had closer contact with the beautiful animals than we ever thought possible. It was amazing, we had so many great interactions with the Giraffes, and had the most amazing photos we could have taken. Every second was better and better. At dinner a private meal was prepared for us, and another great couple we met there. This was an incredible dinner in the original dining room. The next day we were up early to spend some time with the Giraffes. When we opened our blinds it was barely dusk, but the Giraffes were awake, and all standing right outside, just waiting for someone to feed them. They were the cutest things ever, just looking at out windows. They came over, and we fed them right out of our windows and balcony. We then when downstairs, where we sat at breakfast, while the Giraffes put their heads inside, necks all the way in. We were able to put our arms around them, while we fed them. We didn’t even care about eating ourselves. It was truly amazing, and the staff was perfect the entire time. They brought food, showed us how to act, and helped in an and every way they could. We were so sad to leave, we couldn’t imagine anything being this amazing!
