Traveller Reviews

  • I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mapenzi Beach Club Resort. The beach is beautiful and our accommodations were excellent and the food was really good. Fishman Tours made it so we were able to enjoy a 3 hour tour of Stone Town on our way to the airport when we left.

  • Good house with good beds and bathroom great resort with lots of activities such as water aerobics, volley ball and football every afternoon, free water sports and most surprisingly an all included free bar with beer and house wine during the day and cocktails from 19.00 to midnight! Also they had some free water sports such as windsurfing and small catamaran sail boats, table tennis and tennis. We had a great trip. All the bookings and transport arrangements etc worked out perfectly. All in all we had a great vacation!

  • The hotel was breathtaking. It's design is something to marvel about and the rooms were eloquently prepared. The white sand of the Indian ocean is indeed white and the outgoing of the tide everyday was unbelievable. Every evening offered something different from entertainment to eating along side the pool. Although quite reserved that I am, I even joined in briefly on the food service staff dancing one night before dinner. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of the excursions. We did the Stone Town and spice tour in one day and deep sea fishing the next day. Our tour guide Salum was fantastic. This man knowledge is incredible. This was truly African History from the first point of view. As an Black American, this was even more rewarding to me. I personally would encourage all Black Americans to visit Africa, not the westernized areas but the part that still has their culture intact. Altough the water was a bit rough on the deep sea trip, I caught a 35 pound yellow-fin tuna.

  • Our trip was fabulous! We went to the Mapenzi Beach Resort which was incredible. Again, our accommodations were top notch - everyone was willing to cater to our every need.

  • It all went superbly well at Mapenzi and logistics were impeccable. Weather was great. My children were a trifle disappointed at the lack of young people their age but that is just the luck of draw, possibly wrong time of year - but Heather and I were completely satisfied.

"The beach has true powder-white sand with turquoise waters, and the rooms have all been upgraded and are tasteful and light. I would return to this resort in a heartbeat!"
