Traveller Reviews

  • Ngorongoro National Park. Actually, all four Parks were very different … different eco systems with very different ‘feels’. Ngornongoro, being a closed crater with distinct mico- eco systems was definitely unique. We saw an amazing number of lions in the Crater… at least 7 different groupings: both females with young males and mature male groupings. We also saw our only Black Rhinos (two) in the crater… a real treat. The Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge was very nice: the room, common area and restaurant. As the Lodge is on the east rim of the crater, the sunsets across the crater were absolutely breathtaking...Hassan told us the sunsets were a ‘must-see’…and he was correct!

  • The lodge was really nice. The food and service was excellent and far exceeded our expectations.

  • Lake Manyara Serena Lodge, Serengeti Sopa Lodge and Ngorongora Sopa Lodge: Amazing... loved them all! Great service and staff!

    Jainey Henry, January 2012
  • Ngorongoro Sopa was as expected given that I knew that it was a large lodge. However, it was a much better organized place than the farm house. The food was good and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Even the shower seemed to operate outside of the alloted time! And, of course, the view into the crater (the weather had turned better by this stage) and the sunset was well worth it. The Crater itself, of course, was amazing with loads of good animals.

  • Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge and the crater were great. Rooms were good, food good and location fabulous.
