Chichele Presidential Lodge, formerly a presidential hideaway, is built along the edge of a hillside with excellent views over the South Luangwa National Park. This ‘turn of the century’ style lodge is an ideal luxury safari retreat. The primeval forest and lush savannah is home to elephant, lion, wild dog, buffalo, giraffe and a wide variety of antelope, allowing for fantastic game viewing.

You can enjoy two game activities per day; drives in open safari vehicles and guided walks are both offered by the lodge. Between game-viewing activities you can relax next to the pool or on your veranda, looking out over the African bush.

All meals at Chichele Presidential Lodge are table d'hôte, with a wide selection of dishes.

You can enjoy your meals in the luxurious indoor dining room, on the spacious veranda, or in the boma area outside. To round off a good dinner, port and cigars are served.

Luxury Suite

Chichele Presidential Lodge features ten Victorian style lodges combining historical charm with modern comforts. All the lodges have en suite bathrooms with both a shower and a bath. Each lodge has its own veranda, providing the perfect place to admire the gorgeous view and watch the wildlife that passes by.
