The canoeing, walking tour and relaxing at the poolside overlooking the lake was a great break from all the game drives.
In the case of Kosi, we were keen to see birdlife in the wetlands, however, the bird life there is seasonal and we were out of season! No birds. I will restate that both places were indeed pleasant and we enjoyed ourselves nonetheless but "time over" we would not have travelled those significant distances to those venues. One tip to anyone going to Kosi - the road in is a doosey! Do heed the warnings about the necessity for 4 wheel drive (we got bogged but were quickly rescued!).
This was our next stop where we spent time in absolute peace and tranquility! It was a truly stunning place and we were pretty much the only people on the beach for the whole afternoon!
