Kirkman's Camp in Sabi Sands Game Reserve. Wow, what a hidden jewel. I have been to at least 9 lodges in Kenya, and this is my favorite of all. The food is exceptional, beautifully prepared, and graciously served. I am a vegetarian, and they prepared me incredibly delicious foods which I thoroughly enjoyed and very much appreciated. Our butler and waiter, Friday, was very friendly, and totally focus on our enjoyment the entire stay. He is part of the trip that we will fondly remember. The rooms were very large with nicely appointed bathrooms. The game drives each day are obviously the reason that we came to Kruger National Park. Anton, our guide, and Victor, our tracker were both very knowledgeable and skilled at what they do. They worked very hard to make the animal viewing as knowledgeable, and memorable as possible. The Land Rovers were just fantastic with their 'stadium seating' to ensure that every seat was a good one for the best possible game viewing.

I don't even know where to begin with Kirkman's Kamp other than to say, if I ever return to South Africa (and I hope I do) I would spend ALL my time at Kirkman's.

To say we absolutely loved our time on safari at Sabi Sands is an understatement!!! Duncan, Katie, Ruth, Thomas and the Kirkman's Kamp 'family' were exceptional. The hospitality was faultless and we fell in love with the old world charm at Kirkman's. Everyone was fantastic with Annabelle and she was made to feel right at home. We were grouped with another family with children for our game drives which was wonderful. We liked the continuity of tracker, guide and fellow safari goers throughout the three days. I would highly recommend Kirkman's to any individuals, couples or families wanting an unforgettable African wildlife experience.

Kirkmans : very nice lodge. As you mentionned to me it is less "wild" than Botswana, but I knew it before. Our guide was excellent, and one of the best we had of all our game drives. We saw the big five in less than 3 game drives, that was perfect for my brother and step mother.
