Set in 64 acres of gardens in Nairobi, the Safari Park Hotel offers a warm African welcome and a wide range of attractions to keep you entertained during your stay. Book a tour of the suburb of Karen to visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Centre and the Karen Blixen Museum.

Alternatively, hop on the complimentary shuttle bus and head into the city centre to tour the museums and other city attractions. In the evening the entertainment options at the hotel are numerous: relax in the sedate ambience of the Piano Bar, enjoy a delicious cocktail at the Hemingway's Lounge, or dance the night away in the Cats Club Disco.

The Safari Park Hotel has a large entertainment complex which includes a piano bar, disco, karaoke bar, live shows and a casino. Located in the main lobby is the Paradise Gift Shop for souvenirs ranging from handicrafts to fashion items and other gifts. Keep in touch with the office during the day at the Paradise Business Centre which has 24-hour web connectivity, meeting rooms, visual and audio equipment plus a business support team.

The spacious Fitness Club has a variety of facilities such as aerobics classes, a fully equipped gym, jogging track, steam sauna and Jacuzzi plus tennis and squash courts. As part of the Club there is a Health and Beauty Salon which offers massages, manicures, pedicures and hair care. Set in the grounds are two large swimming pools - an Olympic-size pool and a 2000m2 lagoon pool with its own beach.

Dining

There are five restaurants in the Safari Park Hotel, each offering a different atmosphere and style of cuisine. Café Kigwe has international cuisine and is a blend of a New York-style deli and Parisian Café.

Try the homemade pastas and wood-fired pizzas at the rustic La Piazzetta. For a taste of the Orient you have the option of Chinese food at the Winners Pavillion or Japanese dishes at Chiyo Restaurant, serving sushi, sashimi and Tepanyaki against a backdrop of rice paper screens and sculptured gardens.

If you're looking for something more traditional, the Nyama Choma Ranch is a barbecue-style restaurant featuring a nightly stage show. Enjoy delicious home-made pastries and Italian coffee at the Paradise Lobby Cafe as you look out over the gardens on the cafe's terrace.

Designed to capture the life of Ernest Hemingway, the Hemingway's Lounge is a perfect place to end the day with a sundowner drink. The tented lounge offers an open-air terrace and live piano music in the early evening. 24-hour room service is also available.

Deluxe Room

From the Deluxe Rooms to the Presidential Suite, there is a wide range of rooms at the Safari Park Hotel. Situated in nine 2-storey buildings, each room has an en suite bathroom, antique four-poster bed and front and back balconies overlooking the gardens.

The Deluxe Rooms feature satellite TV, a reading desk and the option of a king-size bed or two queen-size beds.

Other Room Types

Featuring a living area, the spacious Junior Suites offer a measure more comfort than the Deluxe Rooms. The suites have a king-size bed, bath and shower in the en suite bathroom, satellite TV and a reading desk.

Similar to the Junior Suites, the Business Suites have a open-plan living area with satellite TV, couches and chairs as well as a king-size bed and en suite bathroom with bath and shower. The added feature of these suites is the integrated workspace which includes high-speed internet connection and reading desk.

The Executive Suites have a separate living room with its own satellite TV and intergrated workspace and a guest toilet. A king-size bed is found in the en suite bedroom along with a second satellite TV.

The luxurious 3-bedroom Presidential Suite has a fireplace, dining area, fully-equipped kitchenette, en suite bathroom with Jacuzzi and a guest bathroom in the living area. Additional amenities include a dedicated waiter, private dining and an integrated workspace.

  • Loved the Nairobi Safari Park Hotel. Anderson from Pollman's was there when we set off from Nairobi, and met us again we arrived the final night. I appreciated all that he did to help us on that final evening. We were exhausted from the drive from Tarangire, had a flat tire just outside Nairobi, and wanted to cancel our dinner at Carnivore and eat at the hotel, which he swiftly and pleasantly arranged on the spot.

  • You also had a great idea with Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, we wanted to visit the city, but after getting to the hotel, with the traffic and the people, we decided it was the best place to relax, we even ate crocodile meat at the african restaurant!!!
