overview

Situated on a private stretch of the Mara River, at the foot of the impressive Siria Escarpment, Olonana Camp is a wonderful place to experience the wilderness. Ideal for those who enjoy a secluded stay, the camp is small and exclusive and built along strong sustainable lines. During the annual wildebeest migration, between July and October, the camp is ideally situated to catch the action.

Going out on game drives will bring you close to a variety of game, including the Big 5, Africa's big cats and many different antelope, while walking safaris and hot-air balloon safaris provide a different perspective of the wilderness. For something more cultural, visit a traditional Maasai village to learn more about local traditions and culture.

Traveller Reviews

  • Oh. My. Gosh. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Olonana. We had one of the most amazing experiences of our lives there. From the moment Bonnie (our game driver) picked us up from the airstrip, we were treated so well and had the best time. I can't even begin to capture how much we loved our time at Olonana. We planted a tree on the grounds that we hope to visit again very soon.

  • Your selection of accommodations was fantastic and each one had their own unique characteristics that we will always remember. At Olonano, we slept within a stones throw from a family of hippos. The food at all of these places was first class!
