Traveller Reviews

  • Singita Ebony was terrific. Everything from the room, the food, the wine and of course the game drives were absolutely tops.

    David Beever, October 2016
  • Trip was amazing! Ebony Lodge was the best recommendation you could have ever made! Not only the lodge itself but the people working there - amazing service and very, very friendly.

    Raynard Picard, April 2016
  • Singita Ebony totally blew us away. We were torn between wanting to stay in our room, enjoy the lodge facilities and going on game drives although the latter always took precedence and we wouldn’t have missed them for anything. We were really lucky with all the animals we saw including some of the rarer ones such as wild dogs and striped jackal. Daniella our guide was amazing and so knowledgeable and all the staff at Singita looked after us so well but in a very friendly and unobtrusive manner. We had an excellent wine tasting with the sommelier Chantelle who certainly opened our eyes to the vast variety of South African wine (no more thinking that South African wine is just Chenin blanc!).

    Alison Adams, March 2016
  • A highlight was Singita Ebony Lodge. The best that money can buy, great animal sightings, amazing hospitality.

    Nicole Hansen, October 2015
  • Singita was our favourite. They were very professional and the room was wonderful. They couldn’t do enough to help with anything we requested and their attention to the smallest detail was appreciated.

    Carole Tate, October 2015
  • We had an absolute wonderful time in Singita and the safary was outstanding. The Ebony lodge was fantastic and the service was excellent. I would recommend this safari to anyone.

    Christian Lenoble, February 2015
  • Singita Ebony Lodge was everything we hoped for. The lodging was amazing, the staff were super friendly and accommodating and the food was outstanding.

    Shamir Patel, September 2012
  • We had a great time at Singita Ebony Lodge. It was our first time in the Kruger area and we fully enjoyed it. Great services, food, wines, etc at the lodge.

    Bertrand Meyer, April 2012
  • Singita lived up to our expectations, it was all around an extraordinary place. It is quite evident why it was voted the Number 1 hotel in the world. We were blown away.

    Mary Lennon, November 2011
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Ebony. The public areas and suites are delightful. I found the staff amazing, they strike the perfect balance between friendliness and professionalism. I found the food to be of the highest standard but found Singita's nouveau cuisine difficult to feel comfortable with in the bush but that's subjective. Fantastic - well received by guest relations - all inclusions such as wine from the cellar, laundry and bountiful room drinks and snacks make an impact. I had probably my best guide / tracker experience (Nicky and Shadrick - request them) at Singita. It was apparent they were a team with a relationship founded on mutual respect. The guide - Nicky - was a fantastic communicator who always informed you of her thoughts and intentions; this meant as guests we moved from passengers to participants.
