Dining

Indulge in contemporary Cape cuisine in a variety of beautiful dining spots. Look forward to local cuisine and home-grown ingredients such as fynbos and the indigenous rooibos plant.

The Homestead Restaurant adjoins the terrace and offers a formal dining room where you can dine in style. Enjoy a warm atmosphere and elegant furnishings as you indulge in the selection of specialities offered each evening from the executive chef's table d'hôte menu.

Makana means 'to feast' in the ancient language of the Bushman and here, in what looks like an open-fronted cave, you'll do just that. Stone walls and twin fireplaces give this venue a rustic feel and you can overlook the lawns as you enjoy high tea and scrumptious brunches.

Here, you can also enjoy cooked breakfasts, quiches, pastries, and other mouth-watering delicacies, as well as candlelit dinners featuring grills and organic vegetables.

Embers is situated in the open, under the starlit sky and serves traditional South African barbeque. It is built into a natural ancient sandstone amphitheatre of giant boulders and overlooks the cliffs and valleys. Enjoy salad buffets, home-baked breads, Karoo lamb, traditional boerewors sausage, succulent steaks and chicken kebabs.

Kadoro is situated in the old Shepherd's Cottage that has been renovated but still maintains its rustic charm. This dining venue has no electricity, so you can enjoy an authentic and romantic lantern and candlelit dinner beneath the stars.

For those who want to dine in absolute privacy, meals can also be served in your rooms and suites.
