overview

Ndali Lodge is a rustic and intimate lodge perched on the rim of an extinct volcano which, since its demise, has filled with water to become the vast Lake Nyinambuga in the Bunyaruguru Crater Field in Uganda.

The lodge prides itself on its informal, homely atmosphere which is enhanced by the staff who come from local farms and villages and are professionally trained by the lodge.

There are many activities on offer at the lodge and Ndali provides local guides for walks around the 1000-acre farm and to the Mahoma Waterfall, with the opportunity of spotting a large variety of birds, butterflies and primates along the way. There is also a boat available.

Standard Cottage

Ndali's 8 individual cottages, all of which offer panoramic views of the Rwenzori Mountains and Queen Elizabeth National Park, are built of local stone and thatch and are lit by solar energy.

Traveller Reviews

  • A very good place to stop.

    Patrick Child, August 2014
  • The view was wonderful. The food was some of the best that we had anywhere. I loved the dogs on the premises because I missed mine. The accommodations were great.
