overview

Cape Cadogan is a modern, chic boutique hotel in a Victorian-Georgian building dating back to the 1800s. Now a national monument, the interior of the hotel is inspired by Oscar Wilde's bohemian lifestyle, with dramatic fabrics and antique furniture.

The hotel boasts a convenient location, ideal as a base from which to explore Cape Town's main attractions such as Table Mountain, Camps Bay and the V&A Waterfront.

Traveller Reviews

  • The Cape Cadogan was very nice too – I wish my bathroom was as lovely as the one we had – walk in shower that could fit 10 people!

  • Cape Cadogan is an awesome place. The people can't be any more helpful and the room was quaint and comfortable and the location is perfect. Perfect base to do all of our activities.

  • Cape Cadogan was charming and a wonderful place to start our holiday. Our only complaint about Cape Cadogan was that the bathroom in our room was very very cold. The breakfast was wonderful there and staff was very friendly and always helpful.

  • The accommodation, service, staff, location etc etc. was just perfect. It was a great place to end a great trip.

    Carol Hyde, July 2012
  • The Cape Cadogan was also nice, they made a surprise one night decorating the room with candles and flowers and champagne, it was good.

  • Cape Cadogan - It was a beautiful boutique hotel - I just wish we had more time in it! The staff (cant remember his name, the tall guy) was super helpful and helped us book restaurants, gave us directions etc. The rooms were amazing - so spacious and gorgeous little touches like the fresh fruit and welcome letter. A really lovely atmosphere there. Food was great - the breakfasts were really delicious, good choice of food & I loved the design of the breakfast room, really clean and white & modern. Was a perfect location.

    Kate Simons, December 2011
  • We enjoyed Cape Town, Cape Cadogan was very special, well located & the staff were very friendly & helpful.

    Michael Curtin, November 2011
  • Beautiful hotel in Cape Town with outstanding service. The Budget car was delivered right on time the following morning and it was a kick to drive on the left hand side (although a little awkward.) Very close to downtown with great restaurant recommendations from the staff and we had an incredible drive along the Cape (with a guide) and an incredible hike up Table Mountain - again, beautiful geography and great people!
