Traveller Reviews

  • The lodges we stayed at were all really nice. We weren't exactly sure what to expect, but we liked every place we stayed (in particular, our rooms in the Sopa Lodges in Tanzania were great). The food and service was excellent and far exceeded our expectations.

    Andrew Brennan, July 2012
  • The food as well as the variety was brilliant and I never had a bad meal. The service was really good in Kenya but exceptional in Tanzania, it was just little things but our waiters remembered all of our names from start to finish but it made us feel so special! Also in Tanzania we had far more contact with the Hotel managers who were interested in our trip and also giving us advice which was a nice touch. The only thing that i would criticise would be the location of the Sopa Amboseli being outside of the park, but the view made up for that.

    Terence Ennever, April 2012
  • The Amboseli Sopa was our favourite of the Sopa lodges. Though it is quite a way out of the park, its grounds were so lovely and our room was huge. We felt relaxed here and well cared for.

    Steven Cooper, April 2012
  • The Amboseli Sopa Lodge was a superb game lodge at which to start our safari and we really liked the manyatta inspired lodges and working around the hours when electricity was available. For us this added to the experience of being in Kenya as it added local flavour and certainly was no inconvenience at all. The staff at this lodge were so friendly and with it being lower season, took great pains to chat with us and teach us about so much of their region, food and culture. They gave us a wonderfully gentle introduction to the Masai world.

    Kate Durham, June 2011
  • We have very nice memories from our trip and many fun anecdotes. Amboseli for the elephants, the masai and the scenery. It was a dream come true.

    Nilda Colon, September 2010
  • We were not so happy to be in the Sopa Lodges just because of the number of guests. The accommodations at both were lovely, and the food was good, but we just preferred the intimacy of the tented camps.

    Anne Hartridge, July 2010
  • Our accommodation was well beyond our expectations, especially that we were upgraded twice. In conclusion, we got to see far more than we ever imagined we would, and we are looking forward to using your service again as well as as recommending it to others.

    Sanya Khasenye, May 2008
