Traveller Reviews

  • The Windemere was excellent!

    Mathew Brbich, July 2015
  • The hotel was very nice for one night and huge room with an impressive shower (certainly the largest we'll ever see). In fact the photos on trip advisor are not reflecting the quality of the hotel.

    Jean-Sebastian Bres, January 2015
  • Our first stay we were really impressed with the room and the staff was top notch. Great ocean view. Had a lovely visit with the relatives and explored PE. For our second stay the staff was still top notch.

    ROBERT HEAD, December 2014
  • It was lovely, they were very welcoming and the room was great and extremely spacious. Rhys even had the choice of two beds which were real beds! The breakfast was fantastic too however I am sad to say we didn't make the most of it as everybody seemed to come for breakfast at the same time and we had to rush off to Sand Boarding so couldn't finish it - such a shame as it was delicious!

    Lisa Neal, November 2014
  • The Windemere in PE was a good choice for a one night stop-over and everyone was hospitable and helpful in the short time we were there.

    Allan Blaydon, March 2014
  • The Windermere in Port Elizabeth is a wonderful hotel. I would have liked to stay longer, also to see more of Port Elizabeth.

    Gudrun Wacker, February 2014
  • We were barely at the Windemere because we arrived in the evening, went straight out to dinner (at a lovely place the hotel recommended) and got up early and shot-off to the game reserve, so I can’t really review it fully but equally I can’t fault the short time we had there. It’s certainly immaculate and beautifully presented. The room was vast! When she took us to the room we both thought we were in reception because it was so big!?

    Tim Gamester, February 2014
  • Windemere - Very nice place and staff - they prepared a "real" breakfast for us at 4:30 in the morning...:)

    Arie Goldstein, November 2013
  • The Windermere hotel was very good. It is a nice hotel and comfortable. The staff were helpful.

    Dave Thomas, April 2009
  • Ideal for an overnight stop over, very convenient and easy to find from the airport. Definitely better option that staying overnight in a Joburg airport hotel.
