Enjoy fresh, modern dishes and cocktails at Greens, taste the authentic flavours of Thailand at Simply Asia, or enjoy frozen margaritas and spicy Mexican food at The Fat Cactus. For your convenience, these restaurants will also bring your breakfast, lunch or dinner to the privacy of your room. Hippo is also situated close to the trendy Kloof Street where you’ll find a number of excellent eateries and restaurants to choose from.

Other Room Types

There are two uniquely themed suites at Hippo Boutique Hotel. Both Suites are double-volume lofts with modern furnishings, and an open-plan bedroom and bathroom on a mezzanine level. The suites also have a lounge area, Wi-Fi, and a fully-equipped downstairs kitchen.

The signature Hippo Suite is an expression of Cape Town's design flair, creating a chic space that includes unique pieces such as a yellow kudu headboard, mood lighting and a wall covered in the city's ritzy lights. The suite is comfortable, clean, functional and creative.

The Red Bull Suite is a hip urban space featuring design inspired by the energy drink. The room was designed by the Word of Art agency to reflect Cape Town’s underground street culture.
