Bordering the Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park, the Stanley Safari Lodge will transport you back to Africa of the 1920s. Ideal for the adventurous as well as the quiet-minded, this beautiful lodge is set on a hill, only 3km from the Victoria Falls and offers incredible views over the Zambezi River with the spray of the Falls in the distance.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can head to the Victoria Falls and enjoy exhilirating sports like bungee jumping, whitewater rafting and helicopter flights. Explore the area on an elephant-back safari on simply marvel at this magnificent natural wonder. Return to the lodge to explore the Mosi ao Tunya National Park, take a stroll in the garden or enjoy sundowners on the deck while the sun sets over the horizon.

Facilities

The gardens surrounding Stanley Safari Lodge offer a beautiful, tranquil place from which to watch the sun set over the Mosi oa Tunya National Park.

The infinty pool is the ideal place in which to cool off and enjoy the incredible views after a day of exciting activities at the Victoria Falls.

The African-styled lounge is a comfortable spot in which to relax and enjoy refreshing sundowners before sitting down to a delicious evening meal.

Dining

The private table set-up at Stanley offers you the unique benefit of enjoying your meals at any one of the scenic spots around the lodge. The meals are prepared by the resident French cook, combining his traditional culinary knowledge with African flavours and twists.

Sit on the upper deck overlooking the National Park, dine in the cosy wine cellar or under the African stars around the campfire.

For a more romantic approach, you can even indulge in a romantic dinner for two in the privacy of your room.

The delicate cutlery and place settings reminds of colonial times and offer a truly unforgettable dining experience.

Cottages

Each of the six private cottages at Stanley Safari Lodge is individually designed and decorated with local materials to incorporate elements from the surrounding area. Cottages are situated away from the main building, offering complete privacy in these beautiful surrounds.

The cottages are divided into closed cottages and open-fronted ones that walk straight into the National Park and offer incredible views over the Zambezi River. All the cottages sleep two people, have spacious bathrooms as well as their own private garden and dining area, ideal locations from which to watch the sun set.

Stanley also offers four suites, including family suites and a honeymoon suite.

Other Room Types

The Family Cottage is open-fronted and sleeps two adults and two children up to 12 years old. The private plunge pool is child-friendly and private garden offers an ideal place for families to play and have fun. The master bedroom is adjacent to the second bedroom and is ideal for families with smaller children.

The Stanley and Livingstone Suites feature elegant colonial interiors and are both closed rooms. The lounge has a fireplace and the outside terrace walks into the private plunge pool. Where the Livingstone Suite sleeps two people, the Stanley Suite offers an extra bedroom and bathroom that can easily accommodate two or three children.

The Honeymoon Suite offers the ulitmate romantic escape as it boasts superb views of the spray of the Falls from the bedroom or the private plunge pool. This open suite features an outside duo-shower, private wooden deck and private lounge.

  • Stanley Safari Lodge in Zambia: they are really lovely people: the manager came to the airport to welcome us and, after, Thomas was very ill and we had to go to the clinic in emergency. One of the manager arranged us an appointment, and the other one accompagned us there and stayed with us in order to be sure that everything was ok. And the manager drived us back to the airport in his own car in order that it sould be more comfortable for the kids! The lodge is beautifull, the food really delicious. And the Victoria Falls are amazing... The manager arranged us a trip on the Zimbabwean side, and both sides were really worth seeing. I will encourage all my friends to go there, and to stay at Stanley Safari Lodge.

  • Our first Lodge (Stanley Safari Lodge, near Victoria Falls) was probably the nicest in terms of the facility, although the others were also lovely. We had an "open" room at Stanley. There's nothing quite like bathing in a large tub looking out at the African night sky.

  • Was a wonderful first experience! The accommodations were lovely, the staff was outstanding in it's attention to us and its running the lodge. The guides were experienced, knowledgable, friendly and safety conscious without inspiring fear. The safaris were everything I had hoped for. To see wildlife and birds in their natural environment was a rare privilege. I also went on a couple of wakling safaris, as well in the Moroko which is indescribable in its beauty, and closeness to nature.
