Mvuu Camp is situated on the banks of the Shire River in Malawi's incredibly scenic Liwonde National Park. This well-watered area is home to a diverse array of animals and boasts a particularly rich birdlife, making bird watching a rewarding experience.
The best way to access the camp is by taking a 30km ride along the Shire River - be sure to keep cameras and binoculars close to hand. A variety of safari activities is offered at Mvuu Camp.
Early morning and late afternoon/early evening game drives provide an excellent opportunity to spot animals - elephant and hippo are among the more commonly seen large mammals. Boat safaris along the Shire River are also offered, as are guided nature walks and bike rides to local villages.
Alternatively, you could choose to spend the afternoon relaxing at camp as you watch birds from your private veranda. End your day with a river cruise to enjoy the African sunset while watching animals come down to drink at the river.
