Located on the northern tip of Mauritius, Le Canonnier is surrounded by three beautiful beaches and has panoramic views over the Indian Ocean and northern islets. Le Canonnier is an ideal family holiday resort and offers a great value Mauritius holiday. There is a wide range of leisure and sports activities available including water skiing, windsurfing, volleyball and archery.

All water sports are free of charge, except for scuba diving and deep-sea fishing, and you will also have access to Trou aux Biches' 9-hole golf course.
The 'Bob Marlin Miniclub'(for children aged 3 to 12) is housed in the 18th century lighthouse, while the Wellness Centre is built around a huge banyan tree. This peaceful escape includes five massage rooms with exterior showers overlooking the peninsula's ancient ruins. The resort is only 5km from the village of Grand Baie, a popular shopping destination.

Dining

Le Frangipanier, the main restaurant, is set on a spacious terrace adjacent to the swimming pool. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and themed buffets in the evenings.

Le Navigator is an a la carte restaurant set in a colonial mansion of thatch and stone, creating the perfect setting for that romantic dinner. It even allows for open-air dancing later in the evening.

Le Planteur, the main bar, overlooks a landscaped water feature in the gardens.

Standard Room

All Standard Rooms face either the sea or the gardens. The rooms are housed in two wings which hug the peninsula's coastline.

The decor is simple and fresh, and the rooms are comfortably furnished to provide an understated, yet luxurious retreat. All rooms have a terrace, air conditioning, mini bar, and TV.

Other Room Types

These 28 Superior Rooms are either sea- or garden-facing, and offer simple furnishings and a relaxing environment. These rooms feature an en suite bathroom, air conditioning, mini bar, and private terrace.

The Family Duplexes are split-level rooms with a staircase leading to a mezzanine. The mezzanine is accessible by a flight of stairs, giving children the impression of having their own “cabin”. The duplexes are located at the centre of the hotel, close to all facilities. Some duplexes are closer to the beach, while others open onto the gardens and pool.

Located on the ground floor and featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the Family Apartments are ideal for families looking for peace and privacy. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and separate TV.

There are only four Honeymoon Suites at Le Canonnier, making them the most beautiful and exclusive suites in the resort. The Honeymoon Suites are situated in a quiet location and overlook the sea, providing the perfect backdrop for a romantic honeymoon in Mauritius.
