Located next to the Kruger National Park in the legendary Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, Mala Mala Sable Camp offers a genuinely exclusive and intimate safari experience. Sleeping a maximum of 14 guests, this colonial-style camp is set in a prime elevated position overlooking the Sand River and delivers some of the best Big 5 game viewing on the continent.

Go on day and night game drives in open-sided vehicles led by a ranger and tracker. Off-road driving allows your ranger to track and get close to animals for unbeatable photographic opportunities and the bird watching is excellent - you can also discover the smaller details of this ecosystem during guided walking safaris with the possibility of big game encounters along the way.

The intimate safari bar, swimming pool and large wooden deck provide excellent areas from which to admire the views and seek relief from the day's heat.

You can also browse the safari boutique, work out in the small gym or arrange for a massage, all of which are available at the nearby Mala Mala main camp.

A stay at Mala Mala Sable Camp is further enhanced by modern comforts such as satellite TV and Wifi connectivity in the comfortable and air-conditioned library. All Mala Mala camps have mobile phone coverage.

Dining

Start your day with either a full English or continental breakfast which includes delicious options such as pancakes, French toast and smoked salmon bagels. A buffet lunch is served either in the dining room or on the large safari deck overlooking the Sand River. Dining at Sable Camp includes a variety of African dishes such as venison and bush cuisine, best accompanied by fine South African wines from the cellar. Dinner is traditionally served around a log fire in the reed-enclosed boma but may be taken in the air-conditioned dining room or indeed on your private veranda. Bush breakfasts and picnic lunches can also be arranged at no additional charge.

Luxury Suite

Mala Mala Sable Camp accommodates a maximum of 14 guests in five Luxury Suites and the 2-bedroomed Lions Den - all decorated in traditional safari style with king-size beds, high thatched ceilings and comfortable sitting areas.

Each air-conditioned suite also features a private veranda and 'his & hers' bathrooms plus a room safe, a mini-bar, bathroom amenities and tea and coffee-making facilities.
