overview

Selinda Camp overlooks the Selinda Spillway, an enigmatic, often ephemeral river which links the Okavango Delta with the floodplains of the remote Linyanti Swamps. The spillway nourishes a particularly rich environment, famous for its dense populations of animals. The beautifully decorated main lodge and various viewing decks overlook the river's palm-fringed floodplains and is the ideal place to kick back, relax and watch as wildlife comes to drink.

Set out on morning and afternoon game drives in custom-made open 4X4s or head off on thrilling bush walks guided by professional rangers. Your evenings, after you've enjoyed a spotlit night drive and dinner, are spent around the traditional campfire sharing your stories with the other guests and guides. It's the ideal destination for wildlife enthusiasts but romantics and honeymooners will love the alfresco, star-lit dining, decadent stone bathtub and in-room massages.

Traveller Reviews

  • Selinda was much more western to me. Bigger but has it's own charm. We went on a 4 hour walk in grass taller than me! Different perspective of the land. We saw lots of game there too ... Breakfast pap around the fire was great way to start the day. Our guide there was great too... seems the guides all come from the areas local to the camps.. such lovely people.

"The main deck overlooks the 'river swamps' where you can see hippos, elephants and an amazing birdlife at all times of the day; a great place to relax between safaris!"
