Marataba is situated in the Marakele National Park - a private concession offering excellent Big 5 viewing in a totally malaria-free area of Limpopo. Inspired by the discovery of ancient ruins, the lodge has been constructed from stone, with large glass windows that let the natural light in and provide beautiful views of the surrounding area.

Cool off in the sparkling swimming pool, or enjoy a refreshing cocktail in the Ladies Bar while you admire the view. Relax in the lounge and read a book from the library or take in the spectacular view from The Wallow. The area offers excellent Big 5 viewing as well as great bird viewing that can be enjoyed on morning and afternoon game drives or guided nature walks.

Dining

Meals at Marataba Lodge can be enjoyed indoors in the elegant dining area, outdoors in the gardens, or on the lower deck beneath African skies. Cuisine is African-inspired and you can choose from a 4-course a la carte menu or an informal tapas-style menu.

Luxury Tented Suite

Marataba offers accommodation in luxurious tented suites constructed from canvas, timber and stone. Each of the 15 en suite tents is exquisitely furnished and has its own private viewing deck, air conditioning, and an outdoor shower.
