Set in northern Namibia and close to the Waterberg Plateau, Okonjima Villa overlooks a natural, much-visited waterhole. An exclusive-use, four-bedroom villa, this accommodation is beautifully decorated in subtle, earthy tones and incorporates traditional African artefacts and artworks. Okonjima Villa is a luxurious and private haven, ideal for a group of friends or large family. Your personal host will help you plan your activities and ensure you have everything you need. Your private chef will keep you well-fed while use of a personal guide and vehicle allows you to set your own schedule - and there's plenty to see and do here.
Okonjima is home to the Africat Foundation, a research and rehabilitation centre for large carnivores and you can learn firsthand what AfriCat is doing to ensure the survival of Namibia’s big cats. Leopards are frequently seen, as are cheetah and hyena. There's great bird watching to be had, and early-risers can venture out on guided or non-guided walking trails. In the evenings after dinner, you can visit the night hide and observe rarely seen nocturnal animals such as honey badger, genet, civet cat and porcupine.
