overview

Positioned between Botswana's Chobe National Park, in the Matsetsi wildlife conservancy and Kasane Forest Reserve, lies the luxury safari camp, Elephant Valley Lodge. The camp, which overlooks a popular waterhole, comprises 20 spacious Meru-style tents and can accommodate a maximum of 40 guests. See wildlife on twice-daily game drives in open-sided safari vehicles.

For a closer experience with the animals, take a morning boat cruise on the Chobe River. When you’re not out exploring, relax at the lodge and watch the wildlife that come to the waterhole to drink. Elephant Valley Lodge is also ideally situated for a visit to Africa’s adrenalin capital – Victoria Falls – where you can experience a number of thrilling and memorable activities, including bungee jumping from the Victoria Falls Bridge, white-water rafting and elephant-back safaris.

Traveller Reviews

  • I loved being at the waterhole at Elephant Valley Lodge, and the game viewing on the Chobe River was Africa come to life.

    Amy J. Markowitz, August 2012
  • Our trip was absolutely fantastic! Both locations were great. The staff at the Elephant Valley Lodge were wonderful!

    Michelle Angeline, June 2011
  • Our accommodation in both place was excellent. Elephent Valley Lodge had a problem with electricity nearly every night but it had no effect on our comforts - if anything it added to the novelty. Food was very good also.

    Patricia Ryan, July 2010
  • We really enjoyed our holiday and I would certainly recommend your company. The Elephant Valley Lodge was also very good. I am glad you recommended it and we certainly preferred where we were. The meals were very good and the guides were excellent.

    Laura Forte, September 2009
  • All the camps we visited were really great, and all provided a different experience. Elephant Valley Lodge was majestic. All kinds of game came to drink.

    Randy Braun, September 2009
  • The trip was easy and enjoyable, plus we loved the accommodations. Everything far exceeded our expectations - the food, the camps, the safaris, the people, the staff. I can't say enough great things!

  • Elephant Valley Lodge: Excellent, superb, outstanding, wonderful, terrific, splendid, fabulous, fantastic, first-rate. These are the thoughts shared by the many quest's who we met, got to know and spent time with. Sean and his team are all of these. They go above and beyond in every aspect. Chobe National Park is a remarkable place, and made even more so by our Elephant Valley Lodge guide, Mukasa (Dan the Man). This place left the rest of them with something to prove! Elephant Valley has our 100% endorsement.

Jon & Vicki Delgado, August 2008
  • Elephant Valley was amazing - I'd stayed in two similar lodges in Kenya but this one took the cake. Such a great feeling there, very relaxing, excellent service. And the driver we had on game drives was amazing - he got us about 4 feet from the elephants and waited when several trucks found a leopard, so that when everyone else left the cat came out and we got the best shots. I honestly thought I could live there..

    Shannon Deacon, July 2008
  • Our tent looked out on to a waterhole, there are only about 5 tents that have this view. that was soooooooooooooooooooo cool!! We were able to look at elephants, baboons, impala, warthogs, buffaloo come down and drink in the morning and evenings. What a treat!!!!!
