You will never want for anything with the hotel's extensive facilities which include a gym, steam room sauna, tennis court and 2 stunning pools.

There is internet access, satellite TV and DVD players while a car rental desk, laundry service, gift shop and currency exchange facilities will certainly come in handy.

Close by is a fully-certified PADI diving centre and 9-hole golf course, after which you may want to make use of the resort's superb Spa Cinq Mondes, offering specialised treatments that range from Ayurvedique Massage to Taoist Face Care Massage and a Japanese Bath of Flavours and Fleurs.

And families will be pleased to know that while the adults are being treated to massages or are off scuba diving, the children will be well entertained at the Penguin Kids Club with its full spectrum of fun activities.

One kilometre from the hotel is the Utegangar Riding Centre where you can explore the island on horseback and ride through tropical rainforests and cinammon tree plantations; you can also regenerate body and soul through walks up the magical mist forests on Mahe, Praslin and Silhouette islands or snorkel, canoe and cruise around the islands.

Dining

A choice of dining options is available at the resort's two concept restaurants and two bars. Le Mangrovia features contemporary buffets with international cuisine and themed nights on the menu while for fresh seafood and salads or an la carte lunch menu, La Cocoteraie offers the perfect seaside setting. During the day, there is a convenient Lobby Service that provides refreshing beverages and light, palette-tempting snacks but as the sun goes down you'll want to head for Le Patchouli Bar if you are in the mood for an exotic sundowner cocktail or after-dinner drinks.

Superior Room

Le Meridien Barbarons has a number of rooms and suites, all of which are decorated in contemporary island-style colours and have spacious en suite bathrooms and luxury finishes. Interconnecting rooms are also available for families.

The Garden Rooms feature open-plan living spaces on the ground floor that flow into the garden and beach. They offer a separate shower and bathtub, air conditioning, LCD screen TV, satellite movies, DVD player, minibar and room safe.
