Londolozi Pioneer Camp is an exclusive safari lodge set in a 500-year-old riverine forest in the famous Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. Combining old colonial memorabilia with contemporary African style and art, Londolozi Pioneer Camp not only oozes charm and sophistication but also embraces a holistic approach to health and healing, offering morning and evening yoga classes and an organic, free-range menu.

With only 3 suites on offer, Londolozi Pioneer Camp will suit honeymooners looking for an intimate safari experience but it is also ideal for a large inter-generational family after an unforgettable private experience. The game viewing is famously spectacular and you'll maximise your chances of getting up-close Big 5 sightings by partaking in twice daily game drives as well as spotlit night drives and walking safaris led by experienced rangers and trackers. Trips to a local Shangaan village will give you some insight into the local culture of the region.

Facilities

The camp's main living area is open-plan and creates an interactive experience. Containing the kitchen, sitting room and dining area that opens onto an expansive wooden deck, this spacious and open area allows you to enjoy views of your surroundings while relaxing in comfort.

You can escape the heat of the hot African sun in the Zen lap pool while you gaze out over the surrounding scenery, and of course all guests can access the facilities of the other Londolozi lodges, all located within a few minute's walk of each other.

Dining

Londolozi's restaurant menu is designed to promote your health and well-being. The delicious and innovative meals are made from organic produce, free-range game and herbs from the kitchen's own garden.

Meals may be enjoyed in the elegant camp dining room, around the boma campfire, or alfresco away from camp and under the African sky.

Suite

Pioneer Camp offers accommodation in three exclusive Suites, all with en suite bathrooms featuring deep tubs and additional outdoor showers.

The suites are spacious and secluded, and are decorated in a contemporary African style with colonial touches. On chilly nights you can keep warm by the cosy fireplace, and in the heat of the day you can cool off in the plunge pool on your private deck.

  • Of course, the highlight was and the safari trips, it was amazing there, we loved every bit of it, thanks for securing that for us. The rooms and lodge itself were gorgeous, the service was excellent at all timea, very understated and discreet, but you felt you were being treated like royalty. All the staff were so friendly and helpful, their tips were well earned. Our safari guides were so good, they found all the animals for us, and the whole experience there was unforgettable. An added bonus was that we had a private plane bringing us to and from Londolozi and Nelspruit, we were very excited!
