overview

Londolozi Founders Camp is a classic safari camp in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve and provides the perfect location for a sophisticated family safari as it is one of the few luxury camps to accept children of all ages. Indeed, Londolozi will keep all of you busy during your stay: Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve is a premier Big 5 game viewing destination and guarantees excellent sightings with normally elusive leopards a speciality.

Leave at dawn and again in the late afternoon on guided game drives with an expert ranger and tracker in search of the Big 5 and other classic animals - you'll return to camp via a spotlit night drive to tick off some of Africa's rarer creatures while guided walking safaris in between game drives will help you appreciate the smaller and more intricate details of this teeming environment. You could also do a spot of fishing on the Sand River or book a spa therapy to relax your body and mind.

Traveller Reviews

  • Londolozi was the stuff of dreams!

    Richard Robbins, May 2012
  • Londolozi was wonderful and remains my favorite game lodge. We had an outstanding guide, who was there during all of our stays at Londolozi. The weather cooperated on this portion of the trip and was beautiful.

    Hanko Rosenblad, May 2012
  • It is almost unfair to even compare it to the other places we stayed. The room was grand, the staff clearly took pride in their jobs - from our wait staff to the managers - and our guide and tracker were wonderful men to spend time with. They went the extra mile to find us wild dogs and a black rhino - the only animals we hadn't yet seen.

    Leigh Darrin, September 2011
  • Londolozi was really the highlight of the trip. Food, rooms, service, and setting were all perfect. The game viewing was wonderful. We saw all of the big five, three different prides of lions (one with cubs), rhinos twice, multiple herds of elephants, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, jackals, etc. Our only regret was that we were only there three days.

    Stephen Oates, April 2011
  • Londolozi - the best place and our favorite ! Lodging, the people, food and animals were top notch. It was more than we ever expected. The guides, trackers and staff were knowledgeable and very good.

    Teresa Taylor, January 2011
  • Londolozi was exceptional. Callie, the manageress really went to a lot of effort on our behalf. We were upgraded to Tree Camp and put in an absolutely stunning villa. They could not have done more to make our stay any more memorable. That place knows how to treat customers and I am going to write a letter of thanks to them this weekend.

    Alasdair White, February 2010
  • The properties were awesome, all of them. i cant really think of anything that was not great, it all went smoothly. I guess the only thing i would have done slightly differently is flying straight into Londolozi, which apparently has an airstrip (but they dont seem to advertise it for some reason) and the Londolozi was out of this world. Only wished we could have stayed longer.

    Mayur Nallamala, October 2009
  • The place we liked most was Londolozi. The gastronomy was not at the same level as everywhere else in the country.

    Helene Weber, November 2008
  • Our plane ride from Elephant Plains to Londolozi took 3 minutes. The pilot said it would have been a 1 hour drive. Londolozi is just as you said, "very special." The ranger and tracker were great. The food was delicious. The room was a little over-the-top for being in the bush. It was truly stunning. They don't have any fences so the animals are free to roam the property.

    Norm Giere, September 2008
  • It was EXCEPTIONAL in all respects. We are just back from a most wonderful experience in SA. Thank you very much for your recommendation and for putting the itinerary together.

    Joao Pereira, August 2008
