Dining

Dining is always a memorable experience at the hotel. Menus are carefully planned to reflect the best of Ugandan tradition and are made with natural, fresh produce. The menu at each of the three restaurants also features plenty of references to Swahili, Asian and British cuisine. The Explorer is a relaxed Italian restaurant that offers a uniquely off-beat tribute to Africa's early explorers. Enjoy warm, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere as you tuck into the very best of Italy and a wide range of wines, beers and spirits. The Lakes is a 24-hour brasserie that overlooks the hotel's extensive water gardens and offers the choice between sitting inside or on the beautiful terrace.

For breakfast and lunch you can take your pick of hot and cold foods from the extensive buffet, while dinner is typically a la carte. The Lakes also features its own Ice Cream Bar, authentic Italian coffee, local and herb teas and an array of home-made tarts, pastries and gateaux. The Pearl of Africa offers the best in fine dining. Set on the first floor, the views of the water gardens are magnificent and the decor is stylish with black granite and marble. Enjoy an intuitive fusion of menu choices, featuring international, national and regional cuisine. Choose to dine on the outside terrace between the fountains or in the intimate central dining room, listening to the resident pianist play. For groups and parties, there is private dining room that seats 12.

"The most luxurious hotel in Kampala for anyone preferring to stay in the city centre. Lush gardens, an oversized swimming pool and spa, lovely for a two night stay."
