Traveller Reviews

  • We were sad to leave the Plantation Lodge. It is a fabulous place with great service and is really top class.

  • Plantation Lodge took it to another level and lunching in the garden when we arrived was another special and memorable touch. The venue and decor was first class and we loved every second. We even wandered round the garden with the head gardener who showed us where all the food is grown. The owners were warm and friendly and I loved the wine cellar!

  • Plantation Lodge - second time there and even better and it is so well run. We would definitely go back.

  • What a great place!!! The service that we had in Tanzania / Kenya was very good, but here the service is off the chart. The people really go out of their way to make you feel at home. The lodge was beautiful, very well decorated with a lot of taste, without being presumptuous. The food was just fabulous. We really would like to have spent more time there. The decor, the setting and the friendly very attentive people made it feel like something out of a dream. Thank you for getting us into this beautiful lodge.

  • Plantation Lodge was a real pleasant surprise. This is a real oasis with beautiful gardens and accommodations. It has a great hilltop setting overlooking the farming valleys around it. The lodge was very comfortable and the food and service was great. With the pretty pool it is a good place to recharge your batteries and relax between Land Rover trips. The nearby town of Karatu is very interesting. We woke up one morning to a noisy Turkey Gobbler outside our door.
