Traveller Reviews

  • Finally the best parts (and also best value for money) were certainly the Victoria Falls and Planet Baobab, but these were not supposed to be the highlights of a trip to Botswana! I mean, you have to see the Falls but it is a classical (you've seen so many pictures even before to come...).

  • My trip to Zimbabwe you helped me arrange was flawless. My room has a beautiful view of the bridge and a view of the mists which rise skyward from the Falls. As I write this, I sit on the veranda watching the sunrise through the mist of the falls with a nice blanket draped over my shoulders. The hotel is so nice and last night while I was face timing with Sarah and Suss, they came In turn down my bed and placed a chocolate on my pillow as well as draw the mosquito netting around the bed. Quite lovely.

  • Victoria Falls Hotel was wonderful-I liked the hints of a by-gone era and the old world style. The food was good. Service was excellent. Hotel was clean and the grounds were beautiful. Our room had a great view. From the Terrace you can see the mist from the Falls

  • The Victoria Falls Hotel reminded me of the elegant British hotels I have stayed at in past years. The property was out of a travel book. The rooms had every modern convenience while maintaining the "turn-of-the-century" ambience. The Falls were breath taking.Dinner at the Livingston Room had no problem meeting their reputation as one of the finest restaurants in the world. Though more costly than Cape Town, everything we ate was perfect. High Tea was wonderful over looking the Zambezi Gorge and bridge from the Stanley Terrace.

  • All arrangements worked out perfectly! We loved the hotels, the service, the people, the safaris, the wild animals, the flights, the car, the food, resuming: everything.

  • We had a great time at Vic Falls and enjoyed the hotel and the two nights we spent there was just the right amount of time.

    Tanya Martin, March 2014
  • We also enjoyed our stay at Victoria Falls Hotel and were pleased with our room and its position.

    Barbara Montgomery, January 2014
  • Superb place, sunset cruise a relaxing start, Vic Falls hotel a must and the helicopter ride ... amazing!

    Leona Edwards, November 2013
  • Our final days were spent at the Victoria Falls Hotel.... very historical, and very nice.

    Debra Sneck-Fahrer, October 2013
  • We had a fabulous time here. We loved the hotel and were very happy to be staying there with its glorious view and gardens. Our son even braved the swimming pool. The hotel reminded me very much of Raffles in Singapore. We were very pleased to be staying on the Zimbabwe side of the falls as the walk along the cliff top opposite the water fall was fantastic - we have some great photos and memories. I really misjudged how much cash to take with us but luckily we were able to withdraw dollars from the Barclays Bank in town and also pay for the extras with credit cards.

The Victoria Falls Hotel was also great. They gave us a room overlooking the bridge and we could see the mist of the falls from our room. Their service was impeccable and the food at the hotel was also really good.
