Named after the acrobatic Frégate bird, Frégate Island is an exclusive private island in the Seychelles. The seven pristine beaches, including Anse Victorin which is renowned as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and the two fresh water swimming pools are for the exclusive use of the island's guests.

Frégate Island offers a host of activities on, in and under the water. Sailing and motorboats can take you to the numerous dive sites around the island, and the turquoise lagoon, protected by a small reef, is particularly safe for swimmers, snorkellers and beginner divers.

If you prefer to stay ashore, there's a fully equipped gym, an extensive library and a boutique collection. You can also climb Mount Signal, with a summit of 125 metres, or enjoy a bird's-eye view of the Seychelles aboard a helicopter or a small aircraft.

The Castaway Club offers fun and educational activities over the Christmas and Easter periods for children aged between 5 and 12 years old, while babysitters are available for younger children. Perched on a plateau, the Rock Spa offers panoramic views of the ocean and a variety of luxurious and pampering Seychellois spa treatments. Visit the library, next to the lobby lounge, which offers a wide variety of books and magazines in various languages, or visit the Seychelles' most exclusive boutique shop and check out the island's signature items, from fashion and jewellery to gallery pieces.

Dining

In the evening, the Plantation House turns into a romantic restaurant serving traditional Creole dishes and island specialities. This historical building evokes memories of the island's past and is a wonderful venue for open-air dining. The alternative dining venue on Frégate Island is Frégate House, where a gourmet menu features the chef's daily selection created from local produce. The resort's chef places a firm emphasis on simplicity to maximise the food's natural goodness. You can also dine in the privacy of your own villa or at the Beach Bar at Anse Bambous.

One Bedroom Villa

Frégate Island's 17 villas - 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, Spa Villa, and Presidential Villa - are built of native mahogany and blend harmoniously into the natural surroundings. The tropical feel of the buildings is deliberately casual.Each villa has a large terrace with a day bed and Jacuzzi as an extension of the living area. The light and spacious interior houses colonial-style furniture and state-of-the-art technology.

There are 13 One-bedroom villas with a spacious bedroom which is connected to a living area by a small dining area. There is a large en suite bathroom, a smaller guest bathroom, and two outdoor showers. Additional features include Wi-Fi, a TV with DVD player, and air conditioning.

Ideal for families, the two-bedroom villa has similar amenities to the one-bedroom but is larger in size and has a second en suite bedroom and an extra outdoor shower.

The Spa Villa is a one-bedroom Villa is similar to the two-bedroom villa but instead of the second bedroom, there is a spa treatment room for the ultimate in private spa experiences. These villas also have two en suite bathrooms, a guest bathroom, and outdoor showers. Additionally there is Wi-Fi, a TV with DVD player, and air conditioning.

Strategically placed for absolute privacy, the Fregate Island's Presidential Villa consists of three separate en suite villas located on the cliff. The spacious open living area is the centre-piece of the complex, and is adjacent to a large terrace with a private pool and fully equipped kitchen.
