overview

Situated in the heart of the Selous Game Reserve, and overlooking the Rufiji River, Selous Impala Camp is hidden between borassus palms and tamarind trees, offering a secluded bush experience. Ideal for romantics, the camp offers safari-style tents set on raised platforms, and generously spread out to give you as much privacy as possible. The camp is built between lakes Mzizimia and Siwandu, offering you constant game viewing opportunities from the comfort of the camp, as a variety of animals come here to drink.

Game viewing in Selous Game Reserve is always a treat, with plenty of sightings both in the wet months of November, March and June, and in the dry seasons. Selous Impala Camp is one of the smallest camps in the Selous, giving you the freedom to arrange your daily programme as you like. Go on game drives, walking safaris and boat safaris to search for lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, warthog, kudu, impala and a huge variety of birdlife.

  • It was absolutely fantastic. From the management couple to the guides, everything was perfect there. Amongst the 3 camps I stayed at, I loved Selous Impala the most.
