Singita Pamushana Lodge is located in the heart of the 100,000-acre Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve, in south-eastern Zimbabwe. This private reserve teems with wildlife, including rare Roan antelope and black rhino. Enjoy excellent Big 5 game-viewing along with the chance to spot 14 species of African raptors. The guided tour of 2,000-year-old San rock art is recommended, as are expeditions to a nearby 9-hole golf course and fishing for Tiger, Bream and Bass in the Malilangwe Dam.

The Lodge’s sensitive design ethic ensures natural harmony with its spectacular cliff-side setting - wherever your gaze falls, you see framed views of lush gardens, sparkling pools or the spectacular sweep of the Dam below. Each suite also enjoys dramatic scenery from a private deck and plunge pool. The décor is refreshingly bold and enticing, inspired by the natural environment and local Shangaan art. With all the conveniences you expect from a luxury hotel, your suite’s double-sided fireplace and Swarovski spotting scope are enchanting extras.

The main lodge features richly textured African prints, roaring fireplaces, and sumptuous indoor-outdoor living areas. The spa is superb and the yoga room offers a delightful way to begin each day. The library is well stocked, as is the wine cellar, and in true Singita style, two heated swimming pools and a Jacuzzi compete for your leisure time.

Facilities

The communal areas of the Lodge are simply gorgeous. The rough-hewn architecture and hand-carved Shangaan designs perfectly complement the dramatic views of the Malilangwe Dam. There are indoor and outdoor dining areas, over-sized chairs to curl-up on in the sitting area, and spacious loungers on teak decks around two heated swimming pools. The spa and gym are sanctuaries for your beauty and wellness regime, and the library is stocked with inspiring coffee table books to browse on lazy afternoons.

The central bar area provides a convivial spot to share anecdotes with fellow guests. Its excellent wine list will no doubt inspire a stroll into the wine cellar. The high speed WiFi, US telephones and satellite TV will keep you abreast with events in the outside world, although you may find the Jacuzzi with its stunning views and convenient waiter service a much more appealing investment of your time.

Dining

Singita lodges are world-famous for their fine dining and superb wine cellars, and Pamushana Lodge is no exception. The chef prepares African-inspired dishes with gourmet flair paired with exceptional South African wines. Beyond the communal dining areas, enjoy a bush breakfast, a convivial lunch beside the pool, or a candle-lit dinner on your private deck.

Luxury Suite

The Lodge is very intimate with only six spacious Luxury Suites and one Private Retreat. The Luxury Suites include two- and three-bedroom units for small groups and families.

Each suite is air-conditioned with an en suite bathroom and shower, double-sided fireplace and private lounge. The decor is rich and bold, a joyful celebration of textures and shapes inspired by nature and local indigenous art. Your private deck has an outdoor shower and plunge pool, with comfortable seating.

Strung along the cliff-side, the suites have truly stunning views over the lake and game-rich landscape. With Singita’s classic attention to detail, your suite comes complete with a Swarovski spotting scope to enhance game-viewing from your deck.

The Private Retreat is a villa with five bedrooms, all with full en suite bathrooms. The living area flows onto a spacious private deck with an infinity pool.
