Traveller Reviews

  • We could have stayed at the Fresnaye for a few weeks! Wonderfull room, very nice and friendly staff! Cape Town was great.

  • The Clarendon Fresnaye is situated under the beautiful Lions Head in Cape Town. The views are spectacular and the warmth and welcoming attitude of the staff gives you the feeling of coming home. We were fortunate to get a room in a private garden house that added to our privacy, but you can really savour in all the luxuries the hotel has to offer and still have the feeling that you have it all to yourself! The afternoon tea gives a special touch as it gives the guests reason to relax and chat without the hurry of the breakfast, when everyone has an agenda for the day.

  • Clarendon guesthouse was everything promised. Good & friendly service, sorted out excursions for us so we didn't waste our two days there. (should have stayed longer) Breakfasts excellent - didn't have any other meals as it was easy to get to restaurants on sea front. We did the tour of the peninsular and the City and Table Mountain tours, both were great.
