Dining

At night, Sindabezi Island Camp's main camp is transformed into a world of yesteryear, with the absence of electricity adding to the romance and charm of this magical island. Five-star dining on the sand, under a canopy of stars, or in the communal thatched roof gazebo, with the river meandering past and the unmistakable sounds of hippos wallowing nearby, you are assure an experience never to be forgotten.

Thatched Chalet

Sindabezi Island Camp sleeps only 10 people in five thatched cottages dotted around the shores of the island - four luxury cottages and a honeymoon cottage. The cottages have open fronts facing onto the river allowing you to encounter up close all the sights and sounds of the river and the creatures that live in and around it.

Each chalet has its own unique, private river view and every amenity you could wish for including a sundeck, outside heated shower, canopied bed and 'loo with a view'. At night you'll fall asleep in the glow of a hurricane lamp and be awoken by magnificent sunrises over the floodplains of the river.

"Sindabezi is one of the most romantic places I've ever stayed! While quite remote and rustic, the views and nighttime sounds are incredible. Total wilderness!"
