This malaria-free game reserve in South Africa's Eastern Cape boasts abundant wildlife, including the Big 5 and the rare white lion, as well as over 250 different bird species. Enjoy thrilling game drives, birding safaris, archery and bush walks, as well as night drives to see the more nocturnal animals. Dining

Meals at Pumba Msenge are served in the open-air boma for an authentic safari experience. Look forward to cordon bleu cuisine with an African twist, and vintage wines from the director's cellar.

For special occasions, dine on a traditional African braai under the starlit sky .

Msenge Chalet

The 11 luxurious, thatched chalets are enclosed with glass to afford you with the most beautiful wilderness views. These chalets are positioned to give you maximum privacy.

Each chalet has a private deck with views of the waterhole and nearby floodplains, and is fitted with either a king-sized bed or two twins. The en suite bathroom boasts heated towel rails and twin vanities, as well as an outdoor shower. In addition, the chalets have a private plunge pool, seating area, and Roman blinds for additional privacy.

  • Pumba Lodge was amazing. Great accommodation and the staff were truly first class. Pumba - amazing spot, we definitely preferred the Msenge Lodge as opposed to the water lodge - it had a great homey feel! The nannies were excellent with Quinn. Our guide, Justin could not have been more amazing - every animal we wanted to see just seemed to get effortlessly ticked off the list! We had two days of private game drives and on our third day were joined by a lovely couple- the lady was celebrating her 40th so we did a late night drive that night and we were all treated to bubbles, what a nice touch! I can't stress enough just how wonderful Justin was, he accommodated our sheathe with Quinn and even took us on a special "baby game drive" where he introduced Quinn to a huge tortoise!
