Andersson's Camp is located in the Ongava Private Game Reserve which borders the iconic Etosha National Park in Namibia. Once an old farmhouse, the main building overlooks a waterhole offering incredible game viewing from a comfortable lounge area, and many animals cross between the two parks.

Andersson's Camp boasts an eco-conscious approach to the environment and have even recycled bits and pieces from the old farm, including the reservoir which now functions as the camp’s swimming pool. The area is teeming with wildlife, and due to the camp's proximity to Etosha, Andersson’s Camp will suit self-drivers wanting to explore Etosha in their own vehicles. Guests can just as easily book one the camp’s guided game drives into the park.

Facilities

The old farmhouse has been converted into a rustic yet comfortable lounge area with big sofas, comfy cushions and a large fireplace and also houses a dining area on the veranda.

This main area is a wonderful place to watch the animals that cluster around the waterhole. The bar is conveniently located next to the elevated, “farm-style” swimming pool while guests can also congregate around the traditional camp fire in the evenings.

Dining

Start your day with a buffet breakfast and eggs to order and have a light lunch before tucking into a delicious three course dinner served at your own, individual table.

Meals take place in the central dining area, overlooking the floodlit waterhole.

Standard Room

The 16 canvas and stone tents are built on raised decks that boast private wooden verandas, accessed through big double doors. The en suite bathroom facilities are made from natural stone and feature a private, open-air shower.

  • We loved this place. It had simple tents but was extremely nicely done and had quality linen, towels etc, great bathroom!! Staff were fantastic too, decent food, close to great watering hole so fab for game viewing.
