Situated in the heart of the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands at the gateway to the Drakensberg foothills, Granny Mouse Country House is a charming country hotel with thatched cottages. Wine tastings and specially prepared wine and food pairings can be provided in the atmospheric, and particularly well-stocked, underground wine cellar.

Partake in a night cap in the cosy whiskey bar and cigar lounge “Cigar” which offers over 30 single malt whiskeys from around the world.

Beside the Lion’s River is The Granny Mouse Spa offering a range of massage and beauty therapies as well as a Jacuzzi, Hydrotherapy and Steam Room.

Dining

Granny Mouse Country House serves breakfasts and light lunches daily, as well as gourmet lunches and dinners, which are renowned in the Caversham Valley. The Bistro offers a delicious casual menu in the family-friendly hotel dining room or out on the pool deck.

The Eaves is more up market, offering fine dining in a romantic loft setting or out on the balcony with expansive views over the rolling hills.

For a lazy lunch while enjoying the view, order one of Granny Mouse’s decadent picnic baskets, complete with fold up tables and chairs, to enjoy under a shady tree.

For a special occasion or private party dine in Granny Mouse’s well-stocked underground wine cellar.

Garden Room

The luxurious, country-style bedrooms at Granny Mouse all feature king-size or twin beds and have balconies with views of the garden or the river. Each room is air-conditioned and feature flat-screen, satellite tvs.

The Deluxe Rooms complete the country ambience with cosy fireplaces and views of the river. The Suites even have river views from their decadent Victorian-style bathrooms.
