Traveller Reviews

  • Granny Mouse was a surprise – with so much going on we had not looked at the trip or where we were staying for so long we had forgotten. It was much bigger and fancier than we had expected (we were thinking little b&b type place). The staff were exceptional, the food in both the bar/bistro and the fine dining were beautiful. The rooms are a bit dark (heavy timber and limited lighting) but very cosy and big. We watched the rugby in the bar and spent a rainy afternoon resting by the fire in the room –was probably our favourite.

  • We enjoyed Granny Mouse and just wandering about the Meander and exploring some of the shops and galleries, especially Lions River Trading Post, Nottingham Road and Piggley Wiggleys and I was able to do some shopping. David bought a couple of antiques as well and pipe tobacco. Staff at Granny Mouse were extremely helpful in accommodating our needs, even to the extent of installing a grab rail in the toilet for me to make things easier.

  • Yet again, we were delighted with our accommodations at both Granny Mouse and Cathedral Peak, again more luxurious that we could ever have hoped for!
