Traveller Reviews

  • At Cape Royal the service and staff was excellent they cater for every guest need. I was very impressed with how they dealt with the room delay and the small touches in the room like the welcome letter, drinks and snack platter. I love the whole royalty feel and it make you feel special because its not everyday you are announced in the room as lady and lord. 1800 Restaurant food was very enticing and a variety to choose from.

  • The Cape Royale Hotel suite was magnificent. The rooms were very comfortable and they were extremely hospitable. Their free pickup and drop off to V&A waterfront was a bonus. We really enjoyed the all day private excursion in Cape Town. Our chauffeur and guide was fantastic. We even managed to do a lot of shopping and shark diving in the aquarium. That was breath taking!

  • The Cape Royale was very surprising, our two bedroom apartment was way better than expected, and it's the kind of place we would actually move into if we lived in Cape Town!

  • Cape Royale Hotel -This was a wonderful way to end the trip. The hotel was very nice and the family suite was more than nice. It was nice being able to cook our own meals and do our laundry. We had eaten out so much, to just have a simple home cooked meal was nice. We did all our laundry prior to returning to the UK which was also nice. We did have some minor issues with the suite being cleaned and with transportation, but it was handled and it didn't dampen our stay. The waterfront was very nice and visited it on several occasions. The street bands/singers at the waterfront were very entertaining. We visited Table Mountain and enjoyed the views from there.

Thank you for all your help!

  • I HIGHLY recommend the Cape Royale. The location, the service, everything about it was absolutely fantastic! I loved South Africa and hope to return and when I do, I am staying at the Cape Royale. :)

  • The Cape Royal was just as good. The staff were outstanding and helped us make the most of our time there. Cape Town and the peninsula were breathtaking. The shark encounter worked out perfectly and we see in retrospect why we didn't need scuba gear to get the most out of the experience. Thanks again for your patience with us on that one.

  • We would also recommend the Cape Royale hotel to anyone coming to CT, the welcome of the staff, the luxury, its location and the fact it was self catering with a full kitchen which enabled us to have more space to relax as well as cook the odd meal. It was also convenient for a family to have a washing machine at hand.

  • In a nutshell this is truly a great property. Location is perfect as it gives easy access to the V&A as well as exciting spots in Greenpoint and de Waterkant. Their complimentary shuttle service is superb and the guys running their concierge desk deserve a bloody medal as they really are a fantastic team who could not do enough to look after guests. The rooms were wonderful, nicely appointed and immaculately cleaned and presented. We would most definitely recommend this property, we were all astounded at how friendly the staff were and enjoyed the relaxed yet professional atmosphere which is often lacking in top end properties who seem a little plush for their own good. Cape Royale have figured out the perfect mix here and congratulations to them all!
