    Judy Young, September 2012
  • Our stay at Vic Falls was nice as we went on a lion walk, rode elephants and enjoyed the sundown cruise. The hotel was nice and the restaurant had an excellent menu.

  • We loved Ilala Lodge. Staff, position and food were all great.

    Carol Hyde, July 2012
  • Ilala Lodge was wonderful - luxurious, thoughtful, good food and service and we loved the Falls even getting to see the lunar rainbow!

    Kay Jones, July 2012
  • Vic Falls - Ilala Lodge was really lovely and comfortable, and the kitchen staff were so obliging with heating up our pre-packed kosher food at no extra charge. Very impressive. Just a word of warning: outside of the hotel, the street venders were pretty aggressive in their sales pitches - not threatening, but every time we stepped foot outside the hotel many of them approached us to sell their knick knack. Perhaps the travelers could be forewarned as to how to deal with them? There were "tourist police" that tried to help us whenever they could, but they weren't always around.

  • Ilala was very nice as well. The food at all 3 were outstanding. The safari was thrilling! Such an adventure. And the elephant walk and lion encouter were also amazing. Getting to scratch a lion's belly was an experience I will never forget. Victoria Falls was beautiful. It was nice that Ilala was right in town bc we were able to walk right to the craft market and Mama Africa for dinner, which was also a once in a lifetime experience. Although we only had one full day in Vic Falls, I think Venessa and I both really appreciated feeling like were were getting a taste of the "real" Africa....it was the first time were were walking amongst the locals, etc. I think we were both wishing we had more time to visit Botswana.

    Rachel Golden, May 2012
  • Finally, the Ilala Lodge was also outstanding. They have excellent food and service.

    Dale Matthews, May 2012
  • The Illala Lodge in Victoria Falls was a great place to stay. The food was excellent and the service was very good. It was convenient place to walk to the Victoria Falls Park on the Zimbabwe side.

    Paul Guzzan, April 2012
  • Ilala Lodge was great, good room, great grounds, lovely food and Victoria Falls was in full force. We walked out there and opted not to wear raincoats etc and got absolutely drenched but loved it. You can't do it properly with umbrellas etc!! We also walked with the lions which was an absolutely wonderful experience.
