Karen Blixen Camp is a colonial-style tented safari camp on the border of the Masai Mara. The area is teeming with wildlife and the camp provides impressive views of the Mara River - frequented by thirsty animals.

Discover the area on early morning game drives, see the big cats, go on a Maasai-guided nature walk or hover above the Mara Reserve in a hot-air balloon. Explore the area on a night drive to see some of the nocturnal species. Other activities include walking safaris, balloon safaris and cultural community visits.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the à la carte restaurant or in the bush garden - with exceptional views of the Mara River.

A wide variety of dishes is available, created from fresh and locally sourced ingredients while the herbs are picked from the camp's organic garden.

Karen Blixen Camp offers 22 spacious and stylish tents set on mahogany platforms, each offering beautiful views of the river from private verandas. Equipped with private toilets and showers, each tent is luxuriously furnished to provide a comfortable and sophisticated retreat in the bush.

  • We had a great time on our Safari. The Karen Blixen Camp was great. The food was excellent at the camp and I am a very fussy eater. The only negative is that the camp is over an hour from the airstrip over very rough roads. There is supposed to be a new airstrip opening that would be closer to the camp.
